Workspace Global is building a global network of Talent Art Directors who help translate client needs into clear creative direction.
Our Art Directors are part of the Value Creation team, where their role is to transform ideas, client requests, and business goals into structured creative briefs that guide designers and creative specialists.
Rather than focusing primarily on execution, our Art Directors focus on strategy, interpretation, and direction, ensuring every project begins with a clear understanding of the client’s objectives, brand context, and desired outcomes.

The Brand Art Director is responsible for guiding the creative direction behind brand identity, brand systems, and brand communication projects.
You will analyze a client’s brand strategy, positioning, audience, and competitive landscape, and translate that understanding into clear, structured creative briefs that designers can execute effectively.
Your primary output will be what we call a Golden Brief — a detailed creative brief that defines the creative objective, visual direction, and strategic context behind a brand project.
Rather than executing design work yourself, your focus will be on creative direction, brand thinking, and visual strategy, ensuring designers have the guidance they need to produce strong brand outcomes
Core Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Brief Development
• Translate client requests and brand strategy into structured creative briefs
• Develop Golden Briefs that clearly outline creative objectives, audience considerations, and visual direction
• Define creative direction for brand identity and brand communication projects
Brand Strategy Translation
• Interpret brand positioning, messaging, and strategy into practical visual direction
• Ensure that design decisions align with the brand’s identity, tone, and strategic goals
Visual Guidance
• Provide designers with style references, visual inspiration, and creative benchmarks
• Guide designers on typography, color systems, visual hierarchy, and brand design systems
Collaboration
• Work closely with Client Managers and Project Managers to understand project requirements
• Collaborate with designers to ensure alignment on creative direction
Quality & Consistency
• Review and refine briefs before they are assigned to design talent
• Ensure clarity, strategic alignment, and strong creative direction across projects
Qualifications
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in roles such as Brand Designer, Art Director, Senior Designer, or Creative Lead
• Strong experience working on brand identity and visual system development
Design Expertise
• Strong understanding of brand identity design and visual communication systems
• Experience developing scalable brand systems across multiple platforms
• Ability to evaluate design work and provide clear creative direction
Strategic Thinking
• Ability to translate brand strategy into visual direction
• Strong understanding of how branding influences market perception and business growth
Communication & Leadership
• Ability to clearly communicate creative ideas and design rationale
• Comfortable guiding designers and collaborating across creative teams

Compensation Model
Workspace Global Talent Art Directors operate on a performance-based monthly compensation model.
Art Directors are compensated based on the number of creative briefs successfully completed and closed within each month.
